As Syracuse prepares to kick off its regular season, the sting of last season’s Final Four loss continues to drive the Syracuse men’s lacrosse team as it heads into its fifth season under head coach Gary Gait.

Spallina will be joined again by senior attack Finn Thomson and Senior defender Billy Dwan III. Other key returners include senior midfielder Michael Leo, junior face-off specialist John Mullen, senior goaltender Jimmy McCool and senior defenseman Riley Figueiras.
They’ll face a challenging slate this year, including Princeton at the ACC-Ivy challenge. But the Orange open at No. 2 on the preseason poll, and will start things off against the No. 17 Terriers in a first-ever meeting between the teams.
