Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, recently unveiled the ambitious “Anjor Vision 2047” during a historic session of the Assembly. This long-term developmental roadmap aims to establish the state as a fully developed region by 2047, coinciding with India celebrating 100 years of independence. The vision document outlines mission-driven goals focused on key sectors such as infrastructure, investment, job creation, and social welfare reforms, reflecting the essence of governance aimed at upliftment for all citizens.

The initiative is deeply rooted in public participation, involving various stakeholders like farmers, youth, and entrepreneurs. CM Sai emphasized that the plan encapsulates the spirit of Antyodaya, focusing on development reaching the most marginalized communities first. One of the standout aspects of this blueprint is its identification of 13 priority sectors and 10 key missions centered on good governance. Notably, over 400 governance reforms have already been implemented to enhance transparency and citizen engagement, setting a strong foundation for future growth.

However, the launch was not without controversy. The Congress party staged a boycott of the Assembly session, asserting that the exclusive focus on “Vision 2047” overshadowed more immediate concerns like unemployment and basic infrastructure issues. Leader of Opposition Charandas Mahant criticized the government’s approach, describing the vision as lofty but lacking substance when addressing current public grievances. This has sparked discussions about the effectiveness and priorities of the current government, especially as they aim to attract over ₹7.5 lakh crore in investments through new industrial policies and a streamlined clearance system.

Furthermore, CM Sai highlighted significant advancements in road, rail, and air connectivity, along with plans for renewable energy and economic opportunities in agriculture and tourism. Chhattisgarh is currently ranked second nationally in power generation and aims for the top position by 2030 through substantial investments in renewable energy, including solar initiatives. As this ambitious plan unfolds from its new assembly building, Sai is calling for collective efforts from all members to turn “Anjor Vision 2047” into a transformative reality for the people of Chhattisgarh.

Short Summary

Chhattisgarh’s “Anjor Vision 2047” aims to transform the state by centenary independence through focused growth in infrastructure, governance reforms, and public development. However, political controversies arise as immediate issues remain unaddressed.
